Daily management of grade control department for an open pit gold mine operating at 280,000 tons per day.

Department grew from a start of 6 national geologists and 15 technicians to present crew of 15 geologists and 45 technicians.

Grade control department has the lowest incident/accident rate of all the production departments at Tasiast.

I was responsible for all incident investigations as well as writing most of the SOPs and JSAs.

Responsible for creating and writing all SOPs for the critical path processes of the Geology Department.

Insure that processes were followed and work was accurate and timely. This lead from a dilution of 12% in the first year being decreased to an average of 3% for the second and third years of my time there.
