    Clermont Fire Department Clermont, FL Under the general supervision of the Fire Chief, performs responsible supervisory and technical work in the delivery of services and the general day-to-day operations performed by the Fire Prevention Bureau. The position is a fast-paced, demanding management position in the administration of a multi-functional fire department. Job responsibilities include the direct and indirect supervision or command of fire prevention, plans review for fire protection features, inspection of properties, fire investigations and public fire education services and operations for the protection of life and property. When delegated the authority, the Fire Marshal may serve in a command staff or incident commander capacity on emergency and/or non-emergency incidents. The Fire Marshal directs and supervises fire prevention personnel in terms of providing technical guidance and in personnel administrative matters, maintaining an operating budget, long and short range planning and records control pertaining to services provided by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
