I am an energetic and outgoing LNA, Kindergarten Teacher, and Dental Assistant. I am creative, caring, and am skilled in management techniques. My teaching and dental experiences have allowed me to be a motivated LNA, with a highly effective communication style. I am an efficient and dedicated worker who demonstrates strong time management and prioritization skills. My positive attitude, calm demeanor, and attention to detail allows my patients to feel a sense of comfort. I have worked on the Fuller Unit, for just shy of a year, providing patient care safely and efficiently. I have also strengthened my LNA skills, as well as my communication and team work skills. I know that my passion for working with patients, as well as fellow staff members, will allow me to possess the necessary skills to care for the patients in the ICU.

During my time as an LNA on the Fuller Unit, I have learned and grown greatly. I now feel very confident in all of my skills I perform as an LNA, as I perform them with a focus on patient wellbeing and safety. During a normal shift, I perform tasks such as vital signs, ADL's, toileting, bed changes, stocking, ect. On top of performing these tasks, I ensure that I am available to always help my fellow LNA's and nurses as they need my assistance. I am a very hard worker at all times during my shift. I often seek out opportunities to assist other patients or co-workers, or find other tasks that need completing throughout my shift. I always make sure my top priority is patient safety and I do this through advocating for my patients and practicing with safe techniques. My work experience on the Fuller Unit has allowed me to strengthen my LNA skills, communication skills, and most importantly, my desire to help and heal others.
During my time at Infant Jesus School I had the opportunity to create and implement a solid curriculum. I was the first teacher/staff member to meet new families and children and make a successful first impression. Each child who entered my program went through a vigorous and challenging assessment. When the time came to evaluate my students and either accept or deny a child's entrance~ I informed the families. I provided facts and feedback that would support my decision to either enroll a student or not. I was thrilled to be the initial teacher for most of the children and the joy of providing a fun, nurturing, and solid learning environment was most important and satisfying for myself.
At the Mount I had created and implemented my own very successful curriculum. This curriculum allowed me to tailor my teaching and incorporate my very own personal style. I am kind, caring, compassionate, creative, intelligent, daring, energetic and self motivated. I have excellent time management skills and am able to keep myself and my students organized and continually moving forward. I am not afraid to receive constructive criticism, nor am I afraid to implement a suggestion. I love the thrill of a challenging student and the results I achieve when I have given a child a year of fun and a year of challenge!
I have worked as a Dental Assistant sine 1983. I worked chairside, taking xrays, infection control, impressions, etc.and worked in the front office during these years. I loved meeting new patients and families. Working in the dental field allowed me to dabble in the medical field. I feel I can carry some of my dental knowledge into an LNA career.
