CSULB pilot telehealth clinical training program- Graduate research assistant 

  •  Objective- to provide psychiatric nurse practitioners training via telehealth systems that will provide the delivery of mental health services to urban   communities in a culturally sensitive and competent manner, with focus on reduction of stigma, wellness and recovery orientation, and collaboration with community organizations and resources. The program collaborates with the Center of Latina Studies to provide health and educational promotion in the community  while increasing accessibility to, and capacity of, mental health providers. 

Crisis Stabilization Units- Charge nurse (2018-2019)

  • Collaborated with physicians and nurses from a company named "Vituity" in the operational management of "24-hour crisis stabilization units" for patients experiencing psychiatric emergency in Los Angeles and Orange County. The two units were developed based on Dr. Scott Zeller's "EmPath units" model. The primary objective is to provide patients who are in  acute mental health crises with immediate psychiatric care in a safe, calming, and supportive atmosphere, rather than in traditional emergency room settings.  Patients are assessed and treated for up to 24 hours and then discharged to appropriate levels of care (community/hospitalization). 

Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County- initial clinical coordinator (2017)

  • Collaborated with physicians in Southern California to develop a Ketamine clinic for clients with treatment-resistant depression . Performed extensive literature review related to Ketamine efficacy, developed policies and procedures, administered before and after symptom scales,  and analyzed data to assess for efficacy of treatment.
