Relief Infusion Coordinator/Nurse of Infusion Center/Pre-Op/Post-Op/Pain Management
Overseeing daily operations, assignments, break relief, daily audits, entering orders daily for infusion center. Providing competent, kind and compassionate care to patients entering the hospital for inpatient, outpatient surgeries, epidural blocks and infusions. Admit and prepare patients in pre-operative area for procedure. Care of patients and discharge after procedures in post-operative area. Care of patients receiving chemotherapy, blood transfusions, antibiotics, hydration, PICC line care. Many daily IV starts and lifeport access.
Duties include; staffing, assignments, break relief, scheduling and coordinating with operating room during C-Sections and postpartum tubal ligations. Overseeing operations of entire birthing center including staffing to census, nurse assignments and serving as a resource and mentor to floor staff. Complete care of antepartum and laboring patients. Prep, circulate and recover C-sections and postpartum tubal ligation's, manage PICC lines, blood transfusions, insulin and magnesium drips, assist anesthesiologist's with epidural/spinal placement and general anesthesia.
