My nursing duties were to bring patients to the exam rooms prior to seen by the Physician. I obtained the patients' vital signs height and weight, updated their medicine profile to include any allergies to medicines. I updated their medical history since the patient's ast visit. I would ask why they were seeing the Physician on that visit. I gave injections as ordered by the Physician.

When beds on this unit were available, received overflow patients from other units, some requiring heart monitoring per telemetry. All charting was done per computer, as well as the administration of medications.

I was a Charge Nurse on the Medical/Telemetry/Oncology Unit. Some of my responsibilities were to see that Physicians orders were carried out for patients on a daily basis. I made staffing schedules and floor assignments. 5/2000-5/2004 Transferred to the Lennox Health Resource Center based in Clarksville, Texas as the R.N. Nurse Educator, this position was provided through a grant from the Lennox family of Clarksville and the grant was managed by Paris Regional Medical Center. As the Nurse Educator I provided health education and instruction. Conducted childbirth classes, parenting classes, diabetic support groups, and grief support groups. I also, Conducted and participated in health fairs, and blood drives for Red River County. In 2004 the Two Paris hospitals Christus St. Joseph's Health System, and McCuistion Regional Medical Center merged and became Paris Regional Medical Center. the Lennox Health Resource was closed. 6/2004-12/2004 I transferred to the South campus of PRMC to the Surgical/Orthopedic floor as a Charge Nurse, I was responsible for the care of pts. on that unit as ordered by their Physician.
