I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to do my student teaching in the second grade at Manomet Elementary school. During my time at Manomet I planned and implemented a multidisciplinary unit that aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Manomet gave me many opportunities to attend professional development experiences that allowed me to grow as a teacher. I worked in an inclusion room and had the opportunity to collaborate with the special education department. This was an amazing experience that built my confidence as a teacher.
I worked as a preschool teacher in the Transitional Kindergarten room for two years. I was lucky enough to run my own classroom as well as gain competence with other age groups. My experiences at Learning Safari allowed me to grow into the educator I have become today. I was recognized for my communication skills with parents and monthly newsletters. I am very fortunate to have worked for a company that valued my education and helped me pursue my degree in Special Education.
