As a Regional Dispatcher for the Indiana State Police my primary duty is facilitating radio traffic between Indiana State Troopers and the dispatch center. I am often tasked with taking both emergent and non- emergent calls from the public and dispatching Troopers for those calls accordingly. While working in the Indianapolis Post I am tasked with dispatching for three different state police districts which totals twenty- three counties in Indiana. While working as a Regional Dispatcher I have fine tuned my skills with multitasking and stress management. I have also learned how to better communicate with both civilian and emergency service personnel effectively.
