Summary
My previous backgrounds mainly consisted of instructing tennis and being a tutor for college students who struggled in math. Although these were seasonal careers, in both jobs, I strived to develop growth within each individual. No matter what it took, I stayed very determined to make sure improvement happened each and every day with my students. I would not go home or finish until I knew this was accomplished. If I had a private lesson for only an hour long, I was sure that it would be the most productive hour of their life. Whether it was to describe the intuitive reasoning behind a complex derivative, or to make sure that one of my player's could develop confidence in their backhand, I always went to extreme measures to find improvement.

Experience
05/2016 to 08/2017
Tennis Instructor Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake Huntley, IL I worked as a tennis instructor for a Health Club for a little over a year. I mainly worked with little kids to develop the fundamentals of their game. Occasionally, would run drills for more developed players as well. This was a seasonal job, as I'm currently a Junior at Coe College. I worked, on average, 40-50 hours per week (8-10 hours a day).  Mainly did group lessons or camps, but also spent time working one on one with juniors to specialize and advance an individual's game
05/2016 to 08/2016
Concession / Admission Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake Huntley, IL As I mainly served a role as a tennis instructor for Centegra, the Aquatics department ran short on employees, so I would help out whenever needed. Because I spent so much more time in the Tennis department, I only worked about roughly five hours per week in either the concessions or admissions. It was a great experience because it widen my skills of understanding how to use a cashier, make food, complete transactions, and reconcile money.
09/2015 to 05/2016
Math Tutor Coe College Cedar Rapids, IA As a Freshman at Coe, I decided that I'd love to be a tutor for Calculus I and Calculus II, which are two courses I had already taken in High School. I enjoy teaching math and helping people, so I thought it'd be a perfect fit in my schedule beginning my College journey. My first semester, I tutored roughly 12 hours a week to four different students enrolled in Calculus I. I would work one on one and improve their skills by reviewing homework problems, going over formulas, or by preparing for their exams. It was a cool experience because I was able to see genuine growth throughout the semester among all of my students on their knowledge of Calculus and their performances achieved on their exams.  My second semester of my freshman year, I tutored three students who were enrolled in Calculus II. Again, I met one on one with my students and spent about ten hours per week tutoring.
Education and Training
2019
Bachelor of Arts: Mathematics Coe College Cedar Rapids, IA, United States of America I'm expecting to receive my Bachelor's in May of 2019. I'm currently a student at College in my Junior year. Already, I've completed all the necessary General Education requirements, and after this fall, I'll only need one more class to complete the Mathematics Major at Coe. Additionally, I'm planning on minoring in Economics and possibly Spanish as well. Although Coe College doesn't have a direct Actuarial Science Major, I'm taking a series of classes recommended by the Chair of the Math Department to closely resemble an Actuarial Science Major. In fact, I'm planing on taking my first Actuarial Science Exam in January of 2018 (Exam P/1).
Activities and Honors
Currently playing my third year of College Tennis for Coe. The Men's Tennis team at Coe College has been nationally ranked (top 40) for all of my freshman and sophomore year. Our team has been nominated for Team of the Year both years. Personally, I was nominated for Rookie of the Year last year (with only three people being nominated for this award) based on my performance of my Freshman year. My Freshman year, I received a Doubles Honor and an All-Academic Honors. While my Sophomore year, I received a Singles and Doubles Honor and an All-Academic Honors.

In high school, I played on the Men's Varsity Tennis team for two years. Both years, I was awarded with the MVP award and qualified for the state tournament both years I participated.
