    Work Experience
Water Maintenance Assistant/Hydrants 11/2017 to 06/2018 City of Kent Kent, WA Assist full time employees with numerous tasks. including help replace and install new fire hydrants. When replacing a hydrant we would make sure to first make sure that the water is turned off at the foot valve to insure we weren't working on a live line. Then we would set up traffic control if necessary, have a vactor truck hydro escavate around the hydrant. Then we would check to see if we needed shoring if the hole was too deep. If no shoring was needed we would than go into the hole and cut the pipe to drain the water still in the pipe. After the pipe drained we would proceed to cut it more and remove the pipe and hydrant as one solid piece. Then cut replacement pipe to said length needed. we would then proceed to place cut pipe on main and install our mj kits, then place either a 4ft or eight foot long hydrant in. Then install another mj kit to the hydrant tighten up bolts then install a shackle rods and then a backstop to make sure when we turn on the water, that the water pressure doesn't knock loose the mj kits off of hydrant. I also would routinely cycle hydrants all around the city, up to 25 a day.
Paint Prepper 01/2016 to 11/2016 Carlson Paving Products Inc Tacoma, WA Some of my responsibilities was to prep numerous types of welded parts for paint. The welded parts ranged from 2lbs to 750lbs, for the parts exceeding 100lbs. We had an over head hoist/crane to lift parts on painting racks. I would clean the grease and weld slag off, as well as sand the parts to help the paint adhere better. After parts were prepped for paint, I would hang them up on Paint racks. Push them into the paint booth, and once the paint curred I would take them out of the booth. And put them into pallets or down to different assembly lines.
General Laborer 11/2014 to 06/2015 Western Explosive Systems Company Midvale, Utah Gathering the certain amount of materials for each different blast site. Such as road signs, traffic cones, blasting caps, TNT. We would go to the blast site and assess the pattern, then set up a containment area so we could safely work. We would then load each drilled holes with explosive material. After they were loaded I would come by with a skid steer and stem the holes with dirt, ensuring there would be no poppers or breached holes. Once that was complete we would snap in shot, double check to make sure every hole is connected. Then evacuate the area and detonate our blast site.
Wetland maintenance worker 08/2012 to 08/2013 City of Kent Kent, WA Some duties included going to different properties the city owned and maintaining the sites and there borders. I would use line trimmers, pruning shears, mowers, back pack blowers, pole saws, pick up garbage and hand weeding to upkeep the sites.
Water Maintenance Assistant/Services 06/2018 to 10/2018 City of Kent Kent, WA Assist full time employees with numerous tasks. One  example is helping do services requests which intail fixing a leak, broken meter, replace broken meter boxes or replace the boxes with a sturdier traffic box. Another task would be replacing a water main all the way up to the tie in. I have also have done dead end flushing to make sure the chlorine residuals are up to code.
