We have secret shoppers come in and check for quality control. As well as serving I also bartend day and night. Day time bartending entails prepping for busy nights. We prep all our signature cocktail drinks in house. Cocktails that are made with ginger and tumeric are hand juice. We have to simultaneously prep and serve our costumers with lots of love and care. Our restaurant has about 20 beers on tap and over 75 whiskeys and bourbons. We specialize in spirit flights aswell as beer and mimosas flights. Nights time shift sales are well over 2 thousand dollars in a 6-7 hour shift.
I was the head Bartender responsible for opening and closing bar 5 days a week and training bar backs and new Bartenders. I was responsible for creating new unique drinks and memorizing our 12 new rotating rosas specialty cocktails our manager he created. I enthusiastically worked 8+ hours per shift.During the shift we served 3 to 4 course meals In the bar. Each shift I would stock all liquor in the back and front of house.
At the end of the night I was responsible for the till. Fortunately I was cross trained to serve at a fine dining scale which made me a well rounded asset to the restaurant.
Matties was a small restaurant with only two servers and a bartender. Myself and another coworker had to serve, buss, and run food and drinks while maintaining a friendly, outgoing and energetic personality to create a warm and fun atmosphere for guests. We maintained updated knowledge of all menu items, specials, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections. Consistently exhibited a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events such as bands playing to keep store operating smoothly and set a positive example for the shift team. I Continually provided exceptional service to customers by being friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating while having little help. I was in charge of organizing and making each part of the restaurant organized to help make the area was efficient.
At Laguna Grill as a server I would have to thoroughly explained craft beers and wine to costumers. We had a small staff so I catered to 40 to 50 people simultaneously during a six hour shift I memorized an extensive rotating list of over 20 beers and wine. Laguna was a family owned business therefore I helped create a friendly upbeat environment and returning costumer base hireing and Trained new employees and helped teach how to politely up sell. Bussed, expedited, and served over 40 tables simultaneously a shift. Worked closely to build up POS system. I was one of the only employees that were trusted to open and close restaurant by the owner. I Investigated and resolved complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations. I enjoyed scheduling and receiving food and beverage deliverieA. While serving is my passion my best accomplishment for this company was being in charge of building and over sEwing the restaurants website and online orders.
